PTA's mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

What We Do
The Maine PTA is involved in a wide range of activities and initiatives, including:

Advocacy and Policy: We represent the interests of families and students at the state level, working with policymakers to shape educational policies.

Educational Programs: We offer programs and workshops that address diverse aspects of student development, from academic enrichment to mental health support.

Family Engagement: Our events and resources are designed to help parents and guardians stay informed and engaged with their child's education.

Community Outreach: We partner with local organizations and businesses to support school projects and community initiatives.
Speak Out: Advocating for Every Child
When we unite our voices, we can achieve significant change. The Maine PTA empowers families and community members to engage in advocacy at local, state, and national levels.

Local Action: While PTA units cannot endorse candidates, we can advocate on issues and host meet-the-candidates events. Refer to the National PTA Election Guides for hosting tips and election participation.
